Welcome 2019!
It's a bit delayed, but not too late for me to wish a happy 2019. For my career, I would like to see an improvement in work performance to see to it that the company I work for will value me more and sees the potential in me.
In terms of study, I hope to see that I achieve my main goals for this year in my academic life. I aim for better discipline with strict observance to good habits to reaching my objectives.
In terms of love life, I am reaching 30 this year and am making plans for the financial necessities to proceed to the next stage, when the time comes. Probably this would be in the coming two years, I certainly hope so.
For family relationship, things are going fine. I would love to be spending more quality time with my parents, especially my father, who is in his retirement phase, and has been so for the past two years. He is spending most of his time at home now scrolling his phone, I understand it could be very lonely for him, what with his children and wife working. I would continue to spend my weekend breakfast with him and the rest of my family at home as this has been part of my weekends all this while.
I could see how happy he is every time I'm having dinner or lunch together with him, and he would share all the things that he read or watched in the news that day, and also talking about his favorite topics as of late namely Islam, Elon Musk, Malaysian (and recently US) politics and his passion about the idea Quality Management.
We've just entered 2019 and we are already 21 days through. One month has almost passed. I guess this is another reminder for me for this year, that is to value time more and use whatever time I have wisely and for my own improvement.
Recently I installed the popular online game PUBG, and while I enjoyed playing it as most others who do, I am starting to doubt if this was a good use of my time. One of the reasons I have few games on my phone and am not that eager to jump on the bandwagon of these recent fads, is precisely because it could take away so much of my time. Is this a good use of my 2019?
Well as mentioned, a good disciplinary regime necessitates clear objectives in life which would better able me to take control of any distractions that would come. I hope 2019 serves as an impactful year for me in terms of becoming a better person.
