Africans have in fact been discriminated in China
It doesn't matter how much the Chinese government tries to cover up the cases of blatant discrimination in China towards foreigners, especially those of African descent, people would still not believe their propaganda. From the first cases of eviction of Africans from their homes in Guangzhou that was reported earlier this week, until today, the issue seems to be still discussed. Apparently it is not happening only in Guangzhou, but also in other parts of Guangdong province, as well as in other parts of China as well.
The Chinese foreign ministry has issued a statement saying they do not tolerate any sort of discrimination based on skin color in China, and that foreigners in China are treated equally. Some Chinese officials have said that they will conduct an investigation about the reports of discrimination, however until now, they have not acknowledged that these cases are an issue, nor have they issued any apologies. But indeed why would they? Because to apologize is to admit that there is an issue, and that would be embarrassing to Chinese Communist Party and therefore could not happen.
The city of Guangzhou itself has a high number of African people from various African countries. They are there as students, expatriates, workers some have even married Chinese women and have children. However they have particularly been targeted as victims of discrimination by the people there. It doesn't matter if the African or black community has not left China since the outbreak began, or the fact that the overwhelming majority of imported cases are Chinese nationals, they are still viewed with suspicion.
They have been forced out of of their apartments into the streets (with no place to stay some have been forced to sleep under bridges, imagine the humiliation and agony), banned from entering many shopping malls, restaurants and shops, as well as constant harassment by police and public health officers that forced them into prolonged quarantine even though their results came out negative.
A video was put up just now by a Youtuber that shares video and audio recordings of Africans going through this deplorable situation and how the Chinese government it seems have not been telling the truth. The video shows that the current situation right now seems to be the result of orders by the Chinese government itself, therefore all the statements that the Chinese government have been putting until now, denying any sort of discrimination, are false.
The Chinese propaganda machine is very active in churning out propaganda through websites, that they themselves ban in China, such as Youtube, Facebook and Twitter. People who believe in their propaganda will also repeat their claims, and with regards to Africans being discriminated, they either deny them or justify them.
Some say the Africans are illegals, and this is a lie. Even if there are cases of illegal Africans, the overwhelming majority of them are there legally. If they are illegals, why don't the police arrest them and still let them in the country sleeping on the streets, and even transferring them to hotels? Are the Chinese police that stupid? The people who are repeating lies from the Chinese social media don't realize that they are making the Chinese police look bad.
Zhao Li Jian, Chinese foreign ministry spokesman says everything is fine in China.

Some Chinese Malaysians will defend whatever the Chinese government and China does. Apart from that, they will always blame the US.
All in all, ambassadors and officials from various African countries have already lodged complaints to the Chinese government, and it remains to be seen how this will unfold. Experts are predicting there won't be much change with regards to the economic ties between the two parties, as China has huge interests in Africa as it has already invested billions of dollars. However, deep seated animosity between the two people especially from Africans who felt they are being exploited and disrespected by the Chinese who come only to take African resources, will only get worse.
