How to download Facebook videos to your phone

Scrolling through Facebook, you must have wondered how do you save those videos that you really like onto your phone. Or you also could be thinking how do you share videos to your friends through whasapp or instagram, so that they can also forward your videos to others.

I'm going to share a website that you could use to save these videos, and you could start sharing to your friends.

Getfvid.com is a great and easy website that can do this. All you need to do is to copy the url of the video that you want to download and paste it at the link bar. But, you need to make sure the video that you would like to save is set at public, otherwise it won't work.

Step 1:
Open the Facebook video page that you would like to download, and copy the url link on the top. Check if it is set to public, and you can see on top of the video there is a small symbol of the globe. If it is set to private, you are not able to download it using this website.

Step 2:
Visit getfvid.com and you will see a bar for you to paste the link. Simply paste the link and press download.

Step 3:
You will be given a choice whether to download in Standard Definition (SD) or High Defintion (HD) (if available, some videos will only have standard deviation option). Press any of the two and the video will appear to be played.

Step 4:
Pause the video, and press the bottom option button and press "save to files" and  select which folder in your phone you want to save it in. As I'm an iphone user, I prefer the folder "icloud drive". For Android, you can save it at any folder.

Step 5:
Once you have saved it, open the folder and press the bottom left button, a few options will appear including "Save video". Press that and you have successfully saved the video to your phone and you can view it in your gallery!

There are many other websites out there, but the one above seems to be one of the most reliable, at least to me. You might encounter another website keepvid.ch, which I certainly do not recommend. By visiting that website you will receive a notice stating that your phone has been infected with malware virus (but that's just a scam), and they want to sell you an anti-virus app. There is another link keepvid.com but that one requires you to subscribe.

Anyway, hope you are able to download the videos. Have fun!
